ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality and sustainability within the industry. The Student Activities Committee encourages the study of HVAC&R and promotes careers in the HVAC&R industry, through engagement with K-12 and post-secondary students.

Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) is dedicated to young professional ASHRAE members. If you are 35 years old and younger, this is for you!
Membership Promotion
Membership Promotion Committee is focused on promoting ASHRAE to new members and supporting our existing members.
Research Promotion
Research Promotion Committee manages and supports both the Society-level fundraising and Chapter-level fundraising of the RP Campaign.
Chapter Technology Transfer
CTTC is the group within ASHRAE looks after the distribution of technical knowledge to Chapters from Society and from Society to the Chapters.
Government Affairs
Government Affairs Committee is focused on establishing ASHRAE as a leading source for expertise in the built environment and a resource for policymakers.
A Message From The President
Italy, with its rich cultural heritage and vibrant communities, presents us with both challenges and opportunities in our quest for decarbonization. We are all too aware of the pressing need to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change. Yet, we must also consider the unique characteristics of our local environment, the social acceptance of new technologies, and the imperative to find cost-effective solutions that benefit both the economy and the planet.
Our approach must be multifaceted, embracing a diversity of technologies and energy sources. We cannot rely on a single solution to meet the complex challenges we face. Instead, we must harness the power of innovation and collaboration to explore new frontiers in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable design.
Let us work together to promote social acceptance of these technologies, educating and engaging our communities in the transition towards a greener future. Let us demonstrate that sustainability is not just an abstract concept, but a practical reality that enhances our quality of life and preserves the beauty of our surroundings.
At the same time, we must be mindful of the economic realities we face. We cannot afford to pursue solutions that are prohibitively expensive or inaccessible to the majority. Instead, we must seek out cost-effective strategies that deliver tangible benefits to both businesses and individuals, fostering a culture of sustainability that is inclusive and equitable.
As president, I pledge to lead by example, championing the principles of decarbonization, innovation, and collaboration in all that we do. But I cannot do it alone. I call upon each and every one of you to join me in this endeavor, to lend your expertise and passion to the cause, and to help shape a future that we can be proud to leave to future generations.
