ASHRAE Government Affairs Mission Statement:

“To establish ASHRAE as a leading source for expertise in the built environment and a resource for policy-makers in the development of legislation and regulations affecting the public, the HVAC&R community, and the engineering profession.”

Government Affairs Chapter Chairs are the Frontline Representatives of ASHRAE Standards, Guidelines, Public Policy Information Briefs (PPIB’s), Public Policy Priorities (PPP’s), Position Documents (PD’s), and Task Forces, to Government Officials and entities.

The position of the Government Affairs Chair for the ASHRAE Italy Section is open. The Regional Vice Chair of the Government Affairs Committee of the ASHRAE European Region XIV is Dr. Ioan Silviu DOBOȘI.
